4 Days Gorilla Safari in Uganda
This is a 4 day Uganda Gorilla Trekking adventure trip taking you for one of the msot memorable wildlife encounters - meeting the mountain gorillas in the wild. On this trip, gorilla tracking will be carried out twice in Bwindi Impenetrable forest.
TRIP ITINERARY
Day 1: Kampala - Bwindi
Our tour guide will pick you from your hotel in the early morning hours. Embark on adventure journey to Bwindi Forest in Western Uganda. The drive takes approximately 8 - hours (depending on the road conditions). This drive takes you through beautiful rural countrysides characterised by great scenic landscapes, local homesteads, etc. Reaching home late in the evening, check into the lodge for dinner and an overnight accommodation. Overnight Buhoma Community Bandas (Budget) / Gorilla Forest Camp (Luxury)
Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda
After having breakfast at the lodge, our guide will pick you for a transfer to the park headquarters. Get briefed about the gorilla trek and then set off along the tracks in the thick forest in search for these great apes. Depending on the movement of these humble giants the walk might take between 2-9 hours before you encounter the Gorillas. The walk is tiresome however meeting these great apes and spending some time with them while looking deep into their expressive brown eyes, is an exhilarating and heartbreaking wildlife encounter that Africa has to offer. Day 3: 2nd Day Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest
After an early breakfast, drive back to Bwindi Park headquarters for the second day of gorilla trekking in the Impenetrable forest. In the afternoon, take a local community tour, from where you visit local community projects, orphanages or local markets. Learn about the people and culture. (Optional nature walks can alos be taken in the forest for birders and nature lovers). Overnight Buhoma Community Bandas (Budget) / Gorilla Forest Camp (Luxury)
Day 4: Return to Kampala
Enjoy your final breakfast at the lodge before embarking on your drive back to Kampala, where you tour ends.
