This 4 days Rwanda Gorilla Safari takes you for an awe-inspiring, exhilarating and intimate encounter with the mountain gorillas of Rwanda. Tracking gorillas through misty, seemingly impenetrable forests can be an exhausting work but interesting experience. This encounter with these magnificent primates is one of the world class wildlife experience that you cant easily get elsewhere in the world! Together with Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda protects the few of the remaining endangered mountain gorillas estimated to be only 700 in the whole world. A gorilla safari in Rwanda is quite unforgottable.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival
Transfer from Kigali airport to the hotel. If time permits, take a tour of the fascinating and moving Gisozi genocide memorial.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Volcaoes National Park
After breakfast, depart for Ruhengeri, the main
base town for gorilla trekking in Rwanda. Continue onto the Parc National des Volcans and after getting briefed on the gorilla tracking etiquette, enter the forest to track the gorillas. The trekking can be long and tiring but as soon as you seethese amazing primates in their natural habitat it will have been worthwhile. Once the gorillas have been located you will spend an hour in watching them. In the afternoon return back to the camp and if time permits visit the beautiful twin lakes of Bulera and Ruhondo.

Day 3 Mountain Gorilla Tracking
Early departure to the park for a morning gorilla trek. Spend the afternoon at leisure.

Day 4 Transfer to Kigali

After breakfast, enjoy the scenic transfer back to Kigali to connect with your onward arrangements or for a flight back home.
