Uganda Wildlife Safari - 5 Days Uganda Wildlife and Game Viewing Tour in Queen Elizabeth and Lake Mburo National Park.

This is a 5 days Uganda safari to two Uganda Savanna parks: Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth National Park. This safari starts from Lake Mburo National Park that lies in the southern part of Uganda. Covering an extensive acacia woodland the park has got markedly different fauna sought after by wildlife enthusiasts. Lake Mburo is the best place in Uganda where the gigantic eland antelopes can be seen, as well as zebras, topis, impalas, and several acacia-associated birds. The safari later takes you to Queen Elizabeth national park for another game viewing tour with in the savanna plains of Western Uganda. Located on the foothills of the legendary mountains of the moon, the park consists of varied vegetation zones ranging from open savannah to rainforests, from dense papyrus swamps and brooding crater lakes to the vastness of Lake Edward. The park's unique biodiversity has made it one of the highest biodiversity conservation area in the world. The park has got almost 100 mammal species and a remarkable 606 bird species. This makes it a superb Uganda safari territory with fantastic attractions such as elephants, a profusion of hippos, the elusive giant forest hogs and handsome Uganda kobs.

UGANDA SAFARI ITINERARY

Day One: Queen Elizabeth
In the morning wakeup for breakfast before driving southwest to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive will take you along Masaka Mbarara road to stop at the Equator for photographs and then proceed to stop in Mbarara for lunch and then drive to reach the park in the afternoon. You may go for an evening game drive that’s if you are not so tired or go visit the Katwe salt mines. The later is provided on request. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Mweya Hostel.

Day Two: Game drive / Boat ride of Kazinga channel.
Wake up before sunrise to a cup of tea or a glass of water and then set off to the park tracks for a game drive to be able to see predators as they retune to their hide outs and the early risers. During the drive watch out for game like the Leopards, Lions, giant forest hogs, hyenas, Uganda kobs, warthogs and others. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for heavy breakfast and then later have lunch to transfer to the Park headquarters for the Boat ride. The launch that takes you along the Kazinga channel that connects Lakes George and Edward will reward you with game like Hippos, elephants and buffaloes at the shores not forgetting plenty of birds. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Mweya Hostel.

Day Three:  Chimpanzee tracking / Drive to Kampala.
Early in the morning you will have breakfast and then transfer to the Kyambura gorge for a walk in search for chimpanzees and other primates. After tracking you will then drive to transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. You will reach the park in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Mantana Tented Camp / Rwonyo rest camp.

Day Four: Day Two; Game drive / Canoe ride.
In the morning after breakfast you will go for a game drive in the park to search for predators and other animal species like the hyenas, leopards, jackals, buffaloes, zebras, impalas, Topis and eland to mention. After the game drive you will return to the Lodge for late breakfast and lunch and then in the afternoon you will go for a canoe ride on Lake Mburo to view water game. Expect swamps of hippos, crocodiles, and buffaloes at the shores not forgetting the birds. Dinner and overnight at Mantana Tented Camp / Rwonyo Rest Camp.

Day Five: Drive to Kampala.
Have breakfast and then drive back to Kampala. You will have a game drive enroute to proceed and stop at the equator for photographs. You will reach Kampala in the evening.
